Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Having heavy bleeding and discharge one week after the periods is suggestive of a hormonal disturbance. You need proper haemostatic agents and hormonal tablets to stop this bleeding. Do consult your gynecologist and start with oral contraceptive pills for 2-3 cycles to get a regular and moderate bleeding.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

My period is normally on time every month and I am trying to have a baby so going on contraceptive pills will disturb that. Is there something else u suggest taking?
Brief Answer:
Wait and let it stop on its own.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If you are trying for a baby and this has happened for the first time then it is best to wait and see if the bleeding stops on its own. In case such episodes are recurrent then hormonal pills will be required.
Hope my answer is helpful.
