Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern.
There are so many reasons which may cause intermenstrual bleeding or bleeding in between periods.
But before giving my opinion about it, I want to ask a few questions from you.
-What is your age and are you sexually active?
- Have you missed or delayed your period?
- Taking contraceptive pills or any other medication?
-Is there any other associated symptoms like pain, vomiting or vaginal discharge?
Please revert back to me with my answers.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards

Brief Answer:
It can be due to hormonal imbalance.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to hear from you once again.
Intermenstrual bleeding can be due to so many causes.
Most probable cause in your case it can be due to hormonal imbalance, PCOS, thyroid disorder, fibroid and polyp.
You should consult a Gynaecologist and get yourself examined and ultrasound pelvic scan done ( to rule out PCOS, fibroid and polyp), thyroid profile and hormonal profile.
If period was not proper and spotting type than pregnancy test to be done to rule out pregnancy ( ectopic ).
Sometimes intermenstrual bleeding can be a normal finding and resolve by its own.
Hope it is useful.
