What Causes Intermittent Abdominal Bloating While Having GERD?

Should also mention that this used to present differently with the last 1-2 movements being very loose, greenish, but has progressed. Also, a lot of gas at night. Thanks for the help!
As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about a 66 year old Female - bloating for 2-3 days every 4-5 weeks - becomes normal after 5-6 bowel movements - these bouts make you miserable and increase GERD - tried to figure out diet - used to be last 1-2 BMs very loose and greenish - also have GERD, Barrette's - on Dexilant - benign polyps in stomach - otherwise normal colonoscopy and Upper GI .....
As per the the history you have provided, this looks to be a problem related to the colon, most probably function as collection of feces due to incomplete excretion makes it to accumulate causing bloating followed by BMs to relieve the problems.
Due to obstruction GERD and related symptoms will be increased.
I would advise you the following:
Get investigated at the time of an attack:
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of abdomen
Test of stool: for three days particularly when it is loose and greenish.
Blood : CBC, Electrolytes when in attack, sugars, kidney and thyroid functions
Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon and further investigations asked for.
I hope this will help you to get a proper diagnosis - which is the most important part of proper management and cure.
