Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The electrolyte imbalance is the most likely cause for the cramps that you are experiencing. Magnesium, calcium, vitamin D and potassium levels need to be checked and corrected subsequently.

For the time being you can take paracetamol and tizanidine combination to address the cramps. I would also advise the addition of B1, B 6 and B 12 supplement in this regard. You may discuss these option with your physician.

Severe asthma requires that inhalational and sometimes oral/ parenteral steroids are used. They can lead to side effects including oral thrush and gastritis. PPIs should be added for the oral/ parenteral use to avoid gastritis and oral hygiene should be maintained.

Metformin is used mainly for diabetes and in obese patients for weight loss.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
