What Causes Intermittent Nausea, Dizziness And Leg Weakness?
Could be due to low potassium levels.
Detailed Answer:
HI
Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain could be due to one of the following reasons.
1. Radiculopathy : Is a condition where the nerve supplying the muscles of back and chest gets compressed between the back bones causing pain in the back muscles.
2. Kidney Infection or Stones in Kidney : Can causes pain , nausea and weakness.
3. Infection : Causes Muscular pain and weakness but usually associated with Fever but need to always be present.
4. Low levels of Potassium : Could happen due to dehydration or some hormonal problems.
Among these I am more in favour of Low Potassium and Radiculopathy. I advise him to get Serum Potassium levels, X ray Thoracic spine and Ultrasound Abdomen pelvis scan done and revert back .
You mentioned about weakness in leg . I need to know more about it .
Is the weakness present in both the legs or in one leg ?
In doing what activities using leg he notices the weakness? For example in getting up from sitting or squatting position of holding on to his slippers ?
Kindly revert back with details asked and test reports.
Regards.
