What Causes Intermittent Pain Behind The Eye?
Question: i have an on and off recurring slight pain behind my right eye. No recent eye injury or cold. No effect on vision. I do not think it is my actual eye. It is actually easy to ignore. But it comes back and I can't identify what might prompt it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
As there is no redness, no visual disturbance or pain on eye movements, it is unlikely to be from the eye.
Is the pain throbbing or is there a band like sensation? Do you have any other medical condition like high blood pressure? Do you see any flashes or light or any other visual symptoms just before the onset of the pain or during the pain.
Do get back to me with your input.

I sent a follow up yesterday, but have not heard back. The pain is slight and short-lived. More of a single throb. No flashes, no lightning. No visual symptoms at all.
I do not have high blood pressure. I'm on hormone replacement therapy and have been for over a decade.
I wear a contact in my left eye. Nothing in the right. I take my contact out at night. Symptoms are on the right side and seem to occur in the afternoon. Could it be some sort of eye strain?

Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to eye strain
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Some how your input did not reach me.
It is likely to be due an eye strain and it would be good to check both your eyes for refractive errors and correct the same if needed.
Wish you good health and a great day.
