What Causes Intermittent Pain From Sternum To The Lower Right Rib Cage Area?

Question: my wife 63 years is having intermittent pain from sternum area to her lower right rib cage area. healthy weight 116 lbs 5'7", has been going on 4 days seems more intense tonight. Blood pressure 105/63 which is normal range for her, pulse is 54

I have gone through your query.
I would like to know
Does she have history of acidity? Or any other medical illness?
Is she taking any medication?
Is there any history of injury?

Based on the information I feel it might be due to acidity.

I would suggest you to avoid spicy and oily food for at least 15 days. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Eat bland and high fibres diet.
I would suggest you to do regular exercise, eat small frequent meals rather than heavy meal. Walk for 10 to 15 min post meal. Do not lie down immediately after meal.

I would have prescribed you capsule omez 20 mg daily before breakfast, empty stomach for a week.

If this measures for not help or if there is increase in the intensity of the symptoms I would suggest you to see physician. They may ask for ECG to rule out any CVS issue.
