Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

You seem to suffering from Left sided chest pain. This is the area where the lungs and heart are located.

So, most commonly pain in this area occurs due to following reasons:
1. Muscular Pain
2. Chest pain due to cardiac issues or lung issues causing pleural effusion.
3. Acid reflux disease.

Now, it is important to differentiate the type of pain as the treatment for each of them is entirely different. Let me try to explain you the most common presentations of these issues.
The Muscular chest pain is dull and diffuse and is aggravated by movement, change of position.
The Cardiac Chest Pain is severe and crushing in nature and increases on activity like walking, exercising. It may radiates to left arm, shoulder and nape of neck.
Pain in chest due to acid reflux is mostly associated with pain abdomen and gaseous issues with reflux.
In such scenario, i would advice you to get a Chest X-ray and ECG done to rule out cardiac issues or any pleural effusion that might be causing the chest pain.
If the ECG and Chest Xray are normal, the pain is probably Muscular or due to Acid reflux.
For acid reflux, i would advise you to take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day.
For muscular chest pain , do hot fomentation of the affected area and apply Diclofenac ointment locally.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Brief Answer:
Do steam inhalation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, You should do steam inhalation to get relief from the mucous you are getting, You are probably having allergic rhinitis associated with post nasal drip.
In non responsive cases, a trial for a combination of Levocetrizine and Montelukast is given.
This is not a very serious issue, and can be well controlled with the appropriate treatment.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
