What Causes Intermittent Pain In Right Leg?
I am having intermittant pain and slight weak feelings in my right leg .There is a cramping feeling in the whole leg.My right palm is colder than my left and there is a sensation in my right face as if I am drolling.I can lift my arns fine and smile fine.I have just returned from Jamaica after a stressful 2 week work period involving lots of walking on construction sites..This has happened before and my head was scanned and no diagnosis given..I am 64 taking 40 mg lisinopril and 20mg atorvastatin.I suffer from chronic fatigue and from time to time have to work every other day.I also have had chronic gastritis. What could be the cause of the pain and right side sensations?
Features are suggestive of polyneuritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for your present illness.
I have gone through the problems in your case diligently, I am of the opinion that you have some sort of inflammation of the nerves which is referred to as polyneuritis suspicious of Guillain-Barre syndrome.
The exact cause of Guillain-Barre syndrome is unknown. But it is often preceded by an infectious illness such as a respiratory infection or the stomach flu.
It is a neurological disorder in which body's immune system attacks the nerves. Weakness and tingling in the extremities are usually the first symptoms.
In view of the possibility of the above described condition, you are therefore advised to visit a doctor/neurologist for proper evaluation and may be you need to undergo some relevant investigations like lumbar puncture (spinal tap), electromyography or nerve conduction studies.
Hope the suggestions given above could be helpful in getting the accurate diagnosis and its treatment.
Wishing you good health.
