What Causes Intermittent Pain On The Left Side Of The Ribs?
needs further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
How was your day?
Hope this message finds you in good health.
I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.
this seems to be a nerve or muscle related pain. either the intercostal nerves situated between the ribs have inflammed .
another possibility is that any intra thoracic pathology related to heart or lungs may also present in a similar fashion
rarely,a pinched nerve in the back region at the vertebral level can cause similar pains
this pain can be treated by wearing a chest rib belt, rest, try taking anti inflammatory analgesic tablets. local gel and hot fomentation should help.
if the pain still remains and does not show any signs of improvement, then you should see a doctor and get the necessary investigations done.
You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about.
I hope your question has been answered.
Feel free to consult me anytime for follow-up queries.
Take care,God bless.
Wish you a healthy life : )
