What Causes Intermittent Profuse Sweating At Night Time For Several Years?
Please refer to the detailed answer below
Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma’am,
I understand your concern...
After going through your medical details I would like to tell you that at your age group few important medical conditions need to be ruled out which could cause such sweating episodes:
1. Diabetes Mellitus
2. Thyroid gland dysfunction
3. Premenopausal symptoms
4. Endocrine disorders
To rule out these few tests needs to be conducted under the direct supervision of your treating doctor like:
1. HBa1c
2. Free T3 T4 and TSH
3. Few hormonal assays
I would like to suggest to consult an Endocrinologist for proper evaluation and treatment plan.
I hope this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards

I have prediabetes which I have under control through exercise and nutrition. My A1C is 5.9. I can’t figure out why this sweating occurs sporadically with occurrences that arise nightly for several days and equally as often there are none for several weeks or months. I’ve checked my blood glucose many time during a sweating episode with the results indicating no predictable pattern-some times BG will be high and other times low.
I need to know what is occurring PHYSIOLOGICALLY that creates these sweating episodes.
Hello again
