What Causes Intermittent Stinging Pain During Urination And Would It Damage The Urethra?

Question: Hey doctor,
For the last 2 months now I have been having a stinging pain on and off when I urinate and the urine is usually quite yellow and bubbly when it does sting. I find if I drink a lot of water and my pees clear that it won’t sting but most of the time I don’t drink a huge amount. Is this something that needs to be invistagated further? When it first starting happening I went to my doctor and he got me to do a couple of urine tests and a renal ultrasound looking at my bladder etc which all came up clear and I have never had sexual relations so I don’t think it would be an sti? But what I think it might be is my masterbating habit which I usually do every day and i can be quite rough while doing so and I was wondering if that could be a possible cause of the stinging could that irritate it damage the uretha? My doctor thinks it’s nothing and I don’t really want to go down of the track of further investigations and scans I am also quite a nervous person with anxiety which I think makes it worse.

Brief Answer:
no major issue to be concerned
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As per your symptoms and clinical history, the possibility of any major illness of urinary tract is unlikely.
Nothing to worry now as major test reports are within normal limits.
Excessive masturbation should be avoided as it can traumatize the urethra.
Please post your further questions if any

Thanks for clearing that up doctor so there’s no other tests I should worry about? Another thing I had a question about was with ultrasounds do having too many of them in excess have the possibility to cause cancer in that particular area with the organs having repeated stress from the same frequencies or possibly leukima? I tried to avoid scans in general but in the last year I’ve had about 6 done 3 abodminal, 1 renal, 2 on my testicles is that quite a lot to have I’ve also had a chest x-ray and spine x-ray as well.
Brief Answer:
No risk of cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
I can certainly understand your concern
I have worked through your attached query in detail
Repeated exposure to ultrasound scans does not contribute to elevated risk of developing malignancy or cancer.
Leukaemia also doesn't arise following exposure to frequent ultrasound scanning.

Thank you for clearing that up.
I think the face down method I have been doing for the last 5-6 years now has caused damage or this “Traumatic Masturbation Syndrome”. Thus why I am having the stinging sensation and ache like pain in my bladder / prostate area. Now, my question is how long would I have to stop masturbating for it to repair I have read online between 60-90 days should it be further checked out by an urologist or can I try and stop to see if it gets better?

Brief Answer:
Excessive / Violent masturbation can lead to trauma
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Excessive masturbation can lead to trauma due to mechanical causes.
Yes it's important to stop masturbation if it's associated with any irritable or traumatic experience.
I have worked through your attached article as well.
There is no specified time limit for any repair as such.
And Masturbation is not associated with damage to prostate or bladder area.
Masturbation is excessive or violent can damage only the penile urethra or scrotal structure.

Thanks for that doctor just one further query I have. I have been asked to do a heart test I have attached an image of the type requested, but my question is that with the type they want me to do which is a "exercise echo" is there any side effects or radiation involved like there is with a ct scan is there any long-term risk of having a test like this like there is with a ct scan for example? I just don't want to do unnecessary tests if I can avoid it.
Brief Answer:
Does not involve radiation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Exercise stress testing doesn't involve any radiation. Hence, there is no such risk.
Nothing to worry about it.
You can go ahead with exercise echo testing.
