What Causes Internal Bleeding From Uterus?

Question: Hi,

If you are approximately 5 weeks 6 days pregnant, bleeding (bright red in colour) with very small to medium size clots and getting cramps what would be the cause or end result?
NB: A physical examination and a pregnancy (external) ultrasound were done. Both indicated that the External and Internal Cervical OS were closed respectively. Why would clots be seen?

Hi,

This is internal bleeding from uterus.

Baby is trying to abort itself. You need to take medicines given by doctor and take complete rest. Sometimes such bleeding is not seen on ultrasound scan.

If it is a spontaneous abortion how long would the bleeding and cramping continue? Would I have to see a doctor? If yes, what can/will the doctor do?
