Brief Answer:
Yes, it is worsening of the condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Involuntary muscles spasms are not a common feature of fibromyalgia, but in rare cases muscles stiffness could result in spasms too.

I assume that the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is correct and is achieved after the tests needed to confirm it.

In this case the answer to your question is yes, muscles spasms and stiffness point toward disease progression and other medications such duloxetine, besides painkillers, should be considered to be used in order to control better the symptoms.

These issues should be discussed with your daughter's treating Doctor.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
