What Causes Irregular Gestational Sac?

Question: Irregular getational sac with FHR of 121bpm

I am 32yo and this is my first pregnancy. I had my first transvaginal ultrasound last Apr14. They found my gestational sac is irregular: the right side is sort of wavy and the middle upper portion a bit drooping. There was also cicumferential subchorionic hemorrhage but I have no spotting / bleeding whatsoever. The heartbeat is also okay. I am taking Duphaston 3x a day since then and I'm on a 2week bedrest, as advised by OB. Just would like to know how healthy really is my baby?

Upload report. Give additional info.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for writing to us.

Kindly, upload or attach the latest Trans vaginal ultrasound scan report to interpret and give proper guideline.

Let me know few things:

1) What was your last date of menstrual period?

2) Did you undergo any fertility treatment before conception?

3) Do you undergo blood test for beta-hCG recently? If yes, give the exact value.

4) Is there any H/O miscarriage or abortion? Any H/O diabetes or hypertension?

I will looking forward for your earliest response and attached report.

Brief Answer:
Report is quite good. Repeat scan after 2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for attached report and additional information.

1) Irregular shaped gestational sac and circumferential subchorionic hemorrhage may be seen during early weeks of pregnancy (few percentage). Complete bed rest for 1-2 weeks and progesterone supplement are the mainstay of treatment.

2) Ultrasound scan report is quite GOOD at this stage as you have NO bleeding or spotting and there is STRONG fetal heart beat with pole. Don't be worried

3) They will heal or correct automatically over the time period and you have quite chance of carrying healthy pregnancy later on. Just AVOID heavy work, weight lifting, uneven surface, too much bending, high heal shoe, long journey, sexual activity and using chemical bath products.

4) You should repeat the Trans Vaginal Scan after 2 weeks to check the status of pregnancy and fetal well being. Do periodic check up to your treating doctor and proceed necessary investigations.

Drink more water or fluid to improve feto-maternal circulation and take healthy protein rich diet. Avoid stress and need proper sleep.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care.
