What Causes Irregular Heart Beat?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Jul 2015
Question:  Is it OK to have the irregular heart beat. I mean is it common to have an irregular heart beat but still in sinus rhythm? I'm worried about the bradycardia I experience often throughout the day and I understand my tests show a normal heart but am I at any risk for complications because of the irregular heart beat. With the slow beats I get as well? I know I had all testing done. Echocardiogram, holter, loop monitor 1 week, and stress test. Everything was structurally normal and I have some pacs 400/ 48 hours and 15 pvcs. My stress test and Echocardiogram were normal. I'm just worried because out of nowhere sometimes I will have palpitations either fast or very slow but strong heartbeat. Also uneven beats. I do have a lot of stress currently between work and changing homes and I also suffer from health anxiety which I am in a few programs for

Brief Answer:
Your heart is perfectly notmal, just bare this in mind.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX!

I am glad to hear you are OK, besides your prior palpitations issue, which as I have explained you previously, has nothing to do with any dangerous heart conditions, and are totally harmless.

Irregular heart rhytm feeling is a common sensation, which everyone experiences during certain periods of his life.

Generally it is an exaggerated sensation of a normal sinus rhythm, sometimes a respiratory sinus arrhythmia (which is a normal phenomenon in normal young adults), other times rare ectopic heart beats are responsable, and the end more complex arrhythmia are present.

Nevertheless, your structurally normal heart and previously normal cardiac tests (including Holter, etc), exclude the possibility of any ongoing dangerous cardiac conditions.

So relax! Don't worry about!

My professional opinion is that we have to do only with an exagerated anxiety and exessive stress. Keep following the right way towards anxiety management program.

Your heart is perfectly normal. You should bare always this in mind when such uncertainties bother you.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Hi XXXX!

The answer is NO.

Facing your structurally normal heart and accounting all your previous medical history, I would like to reassure you that palpitations in general, and especially ectopic heart beats could not harm you at all.
