What Causes Irregular Menstruation While On Implanon?

Question: I am on the implanon implant contraception, this is my second one and it is finished this February. When I started the implanon I didn't get my period for months, but everything was fine. I would then get maybe once/twice in the year. Now about 6 months I started getting it again, once a month or every second month. However it would last about 14-16 days long, the blood could be dark brown in colour however on occassion it was red. Now I have a slight pain in my right lower abdomen dull pain however this could be because I am menstruating. I don't really know what to do.

Periods may become irregular after implant usage.
However, irregular periods can also be because of hormonal disorders or local lesions in uterus, cervix or vagina, like fibroid or cervical polyp.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally and an ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis and get further treatment accordingly.
