What Causes Irregular Menstruation While On Zithromax?

default
Posted on Tue, 30 May 2017
Question: Hi! I recently took Zithromax (Zpack) about a week or week and a half ago. Sunday, I ended my period and I am now on it again after being off it for only 4 days. This is not normal for me and I have used nexplanon for about 1 1/2 years now, so my periods are regular. I have read articles that say antibiotics can disrupt your menstrual cycle, and I was wondering if this could be the cause of my very early period.

Brief Answer:
Supportive care , no worries

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read yoru question and i understand your concern. Periods may vary and can occur in flow and duration and very much affected by recent infections and antibiotics. so no worries, Just hang in there and wait and observe. Nexplanon use may itself make the odds to bleed irregular more common due to hormonal imbalance more likely in starters, but more than a year makes that less likely cause.

Nutshell, just wait and observe, nothing to worry about, these variations are due to recent infection and antibiotics you had.

I hope it helps . Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
