What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Aftera?

Question: Hi,
I recently took Aftera twice in a month due to some emergency during sex. The last one I took was on 5th of september and two days ago i started bleeding. I thought maybe it was light period but today i just got a brown discharge. Should I be worried or concerned or is it just a side effect of the emergency pill. My period was suppose to come in 11 days.

Brief Answer:
Taking Aftera can make you bleed ireregularly even from taking it only once
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
Aftera can cause delayed or irregular bleeding depending on where in your cycle you take it. Because you used it twice this month, it is likely that you will have unpredictable bleeding. You may so skip your real "period" this month as well. If your real period does not come on time, you should do a pregnancy test as you still have a risk of pregnancy.
