What Causes Irritation In Glans Penis After Dry Masturbation?

Question: Hello, i wanted to follow up on my inquiry/treatment from last week. Are you able to see my previous conversation?

Anyway, i had irritation on my glans penis after a few lengthy dry masturbation sessions. It was still looking a bit irriated after about 10 days. As per the doctor's recommendation, i have been using Miconazole Powder on the affected area (i could not find powder with clotrimazole but the pharmacist said they are the same).

Ive been using the powder for about a week and, while the area does perhaps look a little better, i am still concerned that it has not fully healed. Please see attached photo. There remains no irritation or pain, but i do not like the way it looks.

How long typically should something like this take to heal? Its currently been about 2.5 days since i noticed the issue and almost 1 week since i started using the powder. I am having mich anxiety over this as it is a sensitive area.

Thank you kindly.

Brief Answer:
Nothing worrisome,continue medications as recommended...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

I have also seen your previous conversation.

The spots you noted was due to friction during dry masturbation. It is healing. It will take a few more days to get it completely healed.
Keep good hygiene locally and avoid sexual intercourse.

No worry for scarring as it is not possible with such small spots.

Miconazole Powder is an anti-fungal powder; clotrimazole powder is also an anti-fungal powder. So, they are the same, and will do the same effect.

It is normal to have a higher sensitivity to the affected area as it is irritated. It will be subsided after completely healed.

Again, try to relax and follow your doctor'r recommendations rigorously.

All the best!

Thank you! I've been worried because it seems like 3 weeks is a long time for something like this to heal. But as long as you say that is normal i feel relieved. I will be sure to be more careful in the future.

Brief Answer:
Three weeks not so long for improvement;it will take longer,be patient...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

It might seem to be too long a 3 weeks time of the presence of these spots, but it is not as long as it seems.

This elongated duration is due to continuous friction for consecutive days. As long as it is getting better, this is a good and reassuring sign. This is also showing that we are on the right way toward improvement.

Continue taking meds regularly, keep good hygiene locally and avoid intercourse until completely improved.

All the best!
