What Causes Irritation In Inner Left Thigh At Groin?
Question: Inner left thigh at groin. Is this jock itch?! Irritating. Please advise asap. Been using tinactin spray
Brief Answer:
Watch possible infection and manage itches
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
The image revealed, coupled with the symptoms of itches would require a drug with both an antibiotic property and an anti inflammatory/allergic property to manage the itches.
Many drugs that contain antibiotics + antifungals + anti-inflammatory components, sold over the counter do exist and would be indicated in your case. Neomedrol creme , positon creme are few examples. Washing the area clean with warm water before application of the drug when dried twice daily for about seven days should be sufficient.
Thanks and kind regards,
Dr Bain

So the condition looks more like a general inflamation rather than hock itch? Thank you sir
Brief Answer:
More inflammtory than hock itch. Use proposed Trea
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
It is difficult for this to be due to some hock itch. The lesions look more inflammatory and infectious. It is better to tackle both the inflammatory and infectious aspects first with the proposed topical agents.
Kind regards as I wish you the best of health.
