What Causes Irritation In The Throat And Burning In The Chest?
I have tried some gelusil, some ranitidine(aciloc), Neksum and a few others, all one after the other, have seen the doctor a few times. Nothing seems to work. Endoscopy done a couple of years back, but except a bit of incompetent XXXXXXX nothing else detected.
Other symptoms- I have numbness in both feet.

Q2.any connection between throat irritation and feet numbness?
reflux aand vitamin deficiencies
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and thnaks for using helthcaremagic,
From your symptoms I feel that you have 2 problems -
1) GERD- gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
2) Vitamin deficiency.
Irritation in the throat and burning in the chest is probably due to reflux disease. The acid from your stomach moving upwards into your esophagus leads burning in the chest and throat. A lax lower esophageal sphincter is responsible for this. You will need a proton pump inhibitor and a prokinetic agent. If your symptoms have been present for long time then I would suggest you to get an upper GI endoscopy done. It is the gold standard investigation for diagnosing reflux. Other concomitant conditions like hiatus hernia and H pylori infection which can also cause reflux can also be diagnosed. Please see a gastroenterologist for the same.
Now about tongue burning and numbness in your feet. I feel they are due to vitamin deficiencies. You can take a course of multivitamins for a couple of months. If you do not get relief then multi vitamin injections are necessary.
