What Causes Irritation Of Rectum And Urge To Urinate With Normal Sonography?
Question: Hello, i am 59 yr old male. I am suffering from stomach problem, all the time i feel that i will have to go to toilet,and i feel irritation at rectum. When i go to toilet motion is not watery, my lever reports are normal and stomach sonography is also normal and there are no piles. I am just afraid to drink hot beverages at airport or at anyons home because if i did sensation starts in stomach.my diabetes level is normal for that i take vobit m twice and for blood pressure i take Ln block 10 in morning and Telpress mt 50 in evening and i also take Rabeprazole D 20 mg twice. Pl guide me. XXXXXXX

If I were your doctor, I would advise you to avoid food from outside altogether if you do, as you might get intestinal infections from outside food specially amebiasis, which is notorious in causing symptoms of the kind you have narrated. I would advise a stool test for ova and cyst and treat these if found positive. Many a times cysts are not visualised in the stool test, and a therapeutic trial of anti amebic drug work magic in symptomatic people. However, you must consult your treating doctor for a physical examination before embarking on it.
On the dietary front, go for home made fresh food, with more of roughage and liquids. Also go for some kind of regular exercises like a morning walk depending on your medical fitness which would also help in controlling your diabetic status better.
As your ultrasound reports and liver function reports are normal, you need not worry. I hope with the above precautions on your food habit, you would be relieved of your symptoms. However, if the symptoms are not relieved or get increased in intensity, you might have to consult a gatro enterologist for a possible endoscopic evaluation of your gastro intestinal tract.
