What Causes Irritation On Glans Penis?

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Nov 2015
Question: Hello, please see my previous 2 inquiries as this relates to the same issue.

I've now had the irritation on my glans penis for 4 weeks. There continues to be no pain, no itching, no sensation. As for visual appearance, it will start to look like its getting better for a few days, but then it goes back to looking how it was. Please see attached picture.

I am getting very frustrated as i am wondering if it is ever going to heal. Its affecting my personal life. At the Dr's instructions, i have not had sex in 2 weeks, and i try to avoid masturbation as much as possible, but occasionally i succumb to temptation. After masturbation is when the irritation looks worse, even though i try to be gentle and not touch the affected area.

Ive been using the mincazole powder day and night as instructed for 2 weeks now. Is there anything else i can be doing? Could this be something more than just irritation? Or am i just being impatient? I am feeling very down and frustrated.

Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
It is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the image as well as the previous Images that you have posted. I have also gone through your discussions with other doctor. I see that there is not much of an issue at all.

Glans as you know is richly supplied with blood. The color of the glans penis may vary from pink to pale blue or purple. This is due to the blood vessels(capillaries) under the very thin skin that covers it. Color may vary with the degree of erection, ambient temperature and whether the person is circumcised or not. I don't think you should be concerned about anything. Just carry on with other things in your life.
