What Causes Itch Eyes After Correcting Drooping Eyelids?

Question: I had surgery to correct drooping eyelids on Wednesday. Late Friday afternoon and now today my eyes itch something horribly. It is all I can do to refrain from rubbing them.
Is this a sign of healing? Infection? What can I do about it?
Ofg course it is the weekend!!!

Brief Answer:
Should relate to healing..Dermatologist opinion
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
Seems like local immune mediated response(physiological) following blepharoplasty and i don't think its an infection that you developed.A digital picture would be appreciable to see and enhance my answer.
You have done the right thing by not rubbing them.Watch for any increase in pain/redness or discharge from wound..
Antihistamines like montek-LC or loratadine 150 mg once a day will be enough for the next 2 days..
I advise you to keep that area dry and clean(wipe it with lukewarm saline water thrice a day and betadine douch once a day to prevent development of infection..
Hope this helps.
Regards
