What Causes Itching And Redness On The Eyelids?
Question: I wrote about a month ago that my eyelids had red itchy and swollen places. It was recommended that I use a hydrocortisone cream and take an antihistamine. I followed this and it is some better but the patches of flaky red skin have spread to the face and neck. I've gone without makeup and I am not using anything new I also notice that I itch more when I'm nervous.

The treatment helps the rush and itching but If the allergens are still in contact with your face , the rush will keep being there despite the drugs .
Stress ( nervous ) may irritate the rush and itching and will delay the healing so avoid stress and don't touch you face or your eye.
The next step I would suggest is to go to a dermatologist since you have this for weeks to do some test that will help to find the allergen.
When you avoid the allergen that will stop .
Meanwhile test your self (besides make up , ) for any soap, other chemicals , towels and everything you put in the face that may cause the rush.
Wash with cold water your face , don't scratch.
