What Causes Itching In Anus Area While Walking?
Question: Hello Doctor,
Usually i sit a lot and work. But, when i walk for a quite a long distance i get itching in my anus area. And i feel very uncomfortable during itching. I always keep my private parts clean and wash them twice a day. Please give me a remedy for my itching.

Thank you for posting on HCM.
There are lot of conditions where perianal itching is a complain. Of all causes, Intertrigo is quite common cause.
Intertrigo is an infection which occurs over any opposing skin surfaces , mostly seen over groin folds. Its caused due to bacterial or sometimes fungal infection.
Chronic friction over perianal area due to long sitting hours can predispose to intertrigo.
I would suggest you oral antibiotics and antifungal tablets for few days along with application of antibiotic cream like fusidic acid and antifungal cream like clotrimazole twice a day for few weeks.
Use dusting powder containing clotrimazole on daily basis to keep area dry and reduce friction.
Take tablet albendazole 400mg once daily for 3 consecutive days to cure any sub-clinical parasitic infection.
Maintain hygiene.
Avoid tight undergarments and use cotton garments as far as possible.
Avoid excess consumption of beverages like tea, coffee etc.
