Brief Answer:
Fungal infection , avoid using steroid creams

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same .
The most common cause for itching in the groin region is due to a fungal infection in the area.
Now you have been applying candid b over the area. I would like to tell you that this medicine is basically an antifungal and steroid combination cream. This does not cure a fungal infection but just tends to mask it for sometime and then the infection recurs after sometime.
So you should stop application of this combination cream. You should instead apply only candid cream or you can buy something like livafin cream and apply it over the groin area twice a day. Use it continously for atleast two weeks. This will help in complete healing of the infection.
In addition, you can take tablet fluconazole 150 mg once a week for two weeks .
In case the itching is too much, you can take tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once a day for five to seven days.
Avoid application of any other cream or oil over the affected areas .
Wear cotton undergarments so as to reduce sweating .

Once the infection heals up, you can continously use candid dusting powder in the groin region twice a day every summers so as to prevent recurrence .
