Brief Answer:
yes, urine analysis and antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Urethritis can be due to infections or chemicals. Normally it would present with dysuria (discomfort on urination), frequency, pain, urgency to urinate , discharge and change in the nature of the urine but in early infection not all the symptoms and signs may be present.

You should, as you mentioned, consider going to your doctor to have a urine analysis done. This would be able to pick up any early signs of infection.
Your doctor may also suggest sending a sample to the lab to look for evidence of any bacteria.

Antibiotics can be started at this visit.
