What Causes Itching Of Legs And Buttocks At Night?
Question: What causes itching that begins each night at around 8:00 for about one hour usually is in both legs sometimes travel to arms and buttock.

I looked up contraindications for Contrave. I am taking a low dose beta blocker for got to mention. approximately 12 hours after the morning dosing I notice the itching. I also experienced heart palpitations last night and headache probably due to spike in blood pressure. I never have these symptoms. Since contrave is a opiate why would the symptoms appear so many hours after taking the morning dose which is always around 8:00 am. The other symptoms of itching and heart palpatations start almost 12 hours later exactly. I think I am going to stop taking. can't stand the headached that has started at nighttime.
One good side effect the entire muscle pain I havre had for years is no long er present. Like a fibromyalgia type of pain. Is this due to the wellbutrin component of the med. I notice the x was pulled by the fda after some clinical trials. is it back on the market?

Contrave is approved by FDA especially for weight management for adults with high BMI with hypertension(or diabetes or high cholesterol).This is the recent approval as on September 10 2014.Though this approval is based on the recent trial data, FDA has insisted the requirement of postmarketting surveillance reports of Contrave to evaluate the cardiac safety(since patients with heart disease were excluded from these clinical trial).
I hope your blood pressure(BP) is well controlled.Since Contrave can cause high blood pressure(contraindicated especially in individuals with uncontrolled BP) and increased heart rate I were to regularly monitor BP and heart rate especially when if your BP is high and it is present before starting the therapy.This is very vital to decide whether the drug should be continued.
Yes, the good side effect which you have made a mention is because of its opioid analgesic activity(Natrexone) which relieves your pain.
