Allergic skin rash
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Thanks for the pictures and details .
You are basically developing a skin allergy which is a viral rash .
Such allergic rashes can occur to any person who is suffering from any body infections especially cold or cough or any urine or stool infections .
Our body tends to react to the infective agent and thereby leading to development of itchy red rashes over body.
Both hands and feet are specially prone to such reactions .
But it tends to recover as soon as the viral infection subsides .
So l you need yo do is to take some antihistamine like Benadryl or levocetrizine daily for four to five days .
You can also apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion over the itchy areas .
Continue taking your cough medicine .
I am sure the rash should subside soon.

Hi again
Any drug that one takes tends to stay in the body for few hours to days even after the last dose .It is slowly eliminated from the body ,so one may continue to develop side effects for sometime even after stopping .
You should continue with Benadryl or take tablet levocetrizine once daily .
Mix and apply cortisone cream and calamine lotion over the affected areas twice daily .
