Question: Over the last two week, the roots of my hair on the top of my scalp is feeling irritated. Is it normal considering the change in weather? Should I consult a doctor? What's the reason?

Brief Answer: Can you describe the irritation in other words??? Detailed Answer: Hi, If you have no redness, itching, rashes, soreness or hair loss going on out there, I wouldn't be outrightly concerned about it. However I would like a better description of your concern. I might be able to provide details about the cause. Awaiting your response... Regards

There are no redness, itching or rashes. It is not an intense sensation. Not a severe pain either. Feels like the sensitivity of scalp has increased (only in the top portion). If I hover my palm opened above my hair (just disturbing it), I feel irritated at the root of my hair (as the hair gets disturbed by the palm).

Brief Answer: Not concerned yet... Detailed Answer: As there are no focal signs of inflammation, I would not be concerned about it. Yet, I would watch out for fresh signs and symptoms of redness, itching, soreness and so on. You will need a doctor to look at those areas then. At this instance the "irritation" which you described may be from non specific neuralgic causes. I would start you on vitamin b12 supplements. Its available as Meganeurone tablets in India. If you aren't from India, you can check with the nearest pharmacist. I am sure vitamin supplements are over the counter at all places. You may use this vitamin pill one tablet a day for 2 weeks before seeking medical attention from a physician. Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards

Thanks for the update Doctor. I am from India and one last clarification. Is there a number which follows the name MEGANEURONE (like augmentin 625) ? or is it just a standard dosage pill?

Brief Answer: Standard dose pill.... Detailed Answer: Meganeuron is a combination of vitamins and antioxidants helpful in nerve regeneration. It contains standard combination and as I remember it contains 750 mcg of vitamin b12 along with other components. You can ask for cap. meganeuron; your local pharmacist will know about it. Hope this helped. Feel free to ask for clarifications before closing this discussion. Regards
