What Causes Itching On Thighs After Stopping L-Montus?
L-Montus is an anti-allergic drug and prevents itching.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history you have provided that you are having allergy related problems like cold, congestion, breathlessness.... which are treated successfully by the use of L Montus. My response to the question is as follows.
L Montus is an anti-allergic drug and it is combination of Levocetrizine and Montelukast. It treats most of the allergy related problems of the skin, respiratory system....
The presence of itching in thighs and scrotum on discontinuing the drug suggests allergic problem like allergic dermatitis of the skin. The other causes that need to be ruled out are the fungal infections of the skin in and around the scrotum which also present with similar complaints.
Hence you need to consult your doctor for examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly. L Montus being an anti-allergic drug will prevent itching and other allergic symptoms hence this is the reason for absence of any of these symptoms while taking this drug and once you are stopping the drug the symptoms are appearing again.
L-Montus will provide only symptomatic relief but it does not cure the condition. Hence you need to consult your doctor to find out the underlying cause and treatment of it.
Hope this is helpful to you.
Thank you
With regards
You need to consult a dermatologist.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Thank you for the follow up question.
Please note the answers for your question as below.
1.Breathlessness was probably because of allergic bronchitis. Allergy can manifest as breathlessness when it affects the respiratory tract, it can manifest as itching when it affects the skin or eyes....
Hence the symptoms depend on the organ system which is involved.
2. L- Montus tablet once in three days will not cause any side effect, hence no need to worry.
3. Dark patches over the scrotum associated with itching most commonly indicate fungal infection which is common in that area because of sweating and moisture.
You need to consult your dermatologist for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for any further questions, I will be happy to answer.
Thank you
