What Causes Itching Sensation In Lower Jaw Post Tooth Extraction?
Question: Hello. My wife had a tooth extracted yesterday next to the upper right eye tooth. Now she notices itching around her lower teeth, not near the extraction..
Is this normal, and what does it indicate?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It has no relation with extraction
Detailed Answer:
hi
thanks for writing in.
Since extraction was done in upper jaw & itching is occuring in lower jaw, it has no relation to the dental procedure. However possibilities of allergies to some medicine or caries in that tooth are to be considered. If it doesn't get better soon in the a day or two, it is wise to consult your dentist.
