What Causes Itching Sensation On Body After Having Tyricten?

Question: Please i need answer for what i need to use because the man i met at the pharmacy in South XXXXXXX gave me tyricten 200/300mg drug when i told him i met some one with out condom that same day , I only used this drug for 4 days before i know its a drug for HIV people which i did not have , for the past 7 days now i am scratching my body which that make me sad and scared because i dont want anything to happen to me or damage anything in m system , Please what i am going to use and hope this does not make me infect with HIV, Because i have Good XXXXXXX before and i always test did my HIV test last month and i am Negatve

Please specify, what exactly you mean when you say you met someone without condom? Did you mean you had sexual intercourse with that person? Is there any rash present? I need this answer so that I am able to tell if you require any medication and/or tests.

We had sex with out condom right , But its on Th December 2014 and i took some medication like classic antibiotic and the man at the pharmacy also give me this tyricten 200/300mg drug that i use for 4 days before i started seeing the side effect , I stop using it 7 days ago yet i am like scratching my body now , I just want to know if this tyricten 200/300mg drug does not going to cause any damage in my body because i don't have any HIV virus before and i hope it wont cause it
I did not see any rash in my body , Is when i started using this tyricten 200/300mg drug i discovered that my body is just scratching me

Thanks for the follow up.

You had an Unprotected sex with someone, so you are at high risk of getting HIV. You have been given tyricten to reduce the chances of having HIV. I think he is right in giving that medicine.

Itching is a common side effect of tyricten and shall subside in few days. If Itching is very much ask your doctor for a prescription of Atarax tablets.

There are many side effects listed for Tyricten but all need not happen every time and in everyone. I will list the side effects of Tyricten below:

abnormal or unusual dreams back or muscle pain
cough diarrhoea
difficulty sleeping dizziness
drowsiness fatigue
headache inflammation to sinuses or throat
indigestion nausea
rash skin discoloration
stomach pain sweating
vomiting

My recommendation is to consult an Infectious Disease Specialist who will evaluate the safety of Tyricten in you and advise you accordingly. Also one more option is to get tested with HIV Western blot which will tell whether you have been infected with HIV or not.
