Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX, welcome to HealthcareMagic.
Thanks for posting to us.
I have undergone through your query in detail and understand your concerns.
Most commonly such symptom is caused by either an allergic reaction or a fungal infection. That's why your doctor has prescribed an anti fungal agent(econazole ) and an anti allergic agent(prednisolone).
If the itching is not coming down after 5-7 days of treatment, we have to review the diagnosis and look for less common conditions like scabies( especially with the given history of more itching in the night).
So it will be fine if you can get back to your dermatologist for further evaluation .
Meanwhie, you can take antihistamines like Levocetirizine 5 mg bed time for relief of itching.
Also, shave the area and keep clean and dry always.
Hope this answer will help.
Be free to ask if you need further clarification .
Wishing for good health.
Thank you.
