There were no stitches or staples in the area in question, I have had this itchiness for about 5/6 days. It has never happened before and it happens in regular intervals day and night, sometimes for a few minutes at others for up to an hour or more.
Brief Answer:
It's common and should get better
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
Itching and tngling in area of facial nerves is really common after aortic and other neck surgeries.
In most of the patients it settles down by itself in a couple of weeks.
In my opinion in your case as well due to surgery nerves must have been acting funny,
Just wait and in some days improvement is expected.
I would suggest you use Centrum for women multivitamins on alternte days for a month.
That will improve healing and getting back to normal.
Wish you the bes of health.
Have a great weekend.
Regards.
