Question: I have small sometimes itchy bumps on the bottom sides of my scrotum more on the left side than the right. When they itch usually when I get undressed they really itch. I have been using lotriman but it has not helped.. I had a leftover jar of erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide mix for another rash for a week, and it does not seem to be working either...
Brief Answer:
Oral antifungal drugs.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Delighted to be able to help.
In scrotum-perineal area fungal Infections are the common cause of itchy lesions as this area is prone for increased perspiration.
Clotrimazole cream is right treatment. But since it has not been effective, I recommended you to take an antifungal by mouth for example Fluconazole. Under the cover of oral antifungal drugs, hydrocortisone cream applied twice daily will take care of the itching. Please consult your doctor for a prescription.
I hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.If you do not have any clarifications, please don’t forget to evaluate my answer.I wish you good health.
