What Causes Itchy Lower Hair Line On Scalp?

Question: For about a year now, the lower hair line on my scalp has been itching. There is no rash, bumps, or dandruff. No can seem to tell my what it is and how to stop it. I know I am not imagining it. The itch is there. XXXXXX

I understand your concern and require additional information to come to a conclusion.
Is this itch present always or does it come and go.
If it comes and goes, have you noticed whether any food, cosmetics or dress brings it on ?
Do you have high coloured urine or have you had any liver problem or abnormal liver test?
Is there any other information you want to share.

It stays with me and I have not changed my diet. My urine and liver are okay. I go for blood work every 6 mo. to keep track of everything. I will probably never find the answer and just have to endure it.

I am glad to note that it is not related to a liver or kidney disease.
Since you are doing tests regularly with good doctors, please let me know your latest AEC (absolute eosinophil count ) and your IgE immunoglobulin level.
Keep a positive attitude and don't despair, it is likely to be something innocuous and we will find an answer sooner or later.
