What Causes Itchy Raised Bumps On Skin And Dry Skin?

Kindly elaborate certain important points.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for the bumps over your skin. It can be related to either simple contact allergy or due to scabies which is a infective condition of the skin.
To rule out the exact cause I humbly request you to kindly elaborate certain important points:
- Since exactly how long you have these bumps.
- What are sites affected. Are these present over your web spaces, inner aspect of elbows, arm pits, abdomen and genital area.
- Is the itching present more at night time or all day through. What is the severity of itching- mild/moderate/severe.
- Any history of itching in your girlfriend.
Hope to hear soon from your side.
With regards,

The itching is mild to moderate but more intense when my skin is exposed to the air. I am taking fewer showers to keep my skin from drying out.
My girlfriend has not had similar symptoms.
Possibility of scabies or soft tick infestation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back and thanks for posting your details.
I can understand your concern for the bumps. After analyzing your query along with the pictures I can make out the possibility of scabies.
To tell you about Scabies: It is a parasitic infestation by a mite. It is specifically manifested as crawling sensation all over the body but particularly over web spaces of hands, arm pits, around nipples, abdomen, genital area and over thighs. There are multiple small bumps on the above mentioned areas.
This is typically worse at night time. It can be treated very simply. In my patients I prefer the overnight application of "Permethrin" 5% lotion or cream below neck area. Once you apply it gives complete relief. A single application of permethrin is sufficient to get relief within 3 days.
If at all still you feel the same kind of feeling then the other condition to rule out is soft tick due to pets or in beds or linens. Just check whether the pets are properly treated for the same.
Expose all your sheets and mattresses to direct sunlight for couple of days.
For the itching part you can take oral anti histamine like loratadine or levocetrizine under medical advice.
Hope these informations will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to help.
"With good health wishes"
