What Causes Itchy Red Bumps All Over The Body?
Question: We, seven families, went to a state park a week ago. A day after several kids has several red bumps in their groin. These bombs spread out over the body (around arm pits, back, neck etc.), become hard bums and are very itching. Now we noticed we as parents are also getting bumps. First we thought it was caused by small ticks, but as it seems now like bacteria or a virus. Onze daugther (9) was nog able to sleep last two nights due to the itching. Do you have any idea what thuis could be.
Brief Answer:
Antiallergics like cetirizine should reduce itchiness
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
It is quite apparent that you people have been bitten by some sort of insects, possibly mites or ticks. This is likely to be associated with an allergic reaction which is causing the itchiness. Taking cetirizine and applying some emollient like aloe Vera lotion should provide relief. But the entire presentation needs to be taken seriously and you need to take everyone to a doctor and get a proper evaluation done. Based on the findings, appropriate treatment can be administered.
