What Causes Itchy Red Rashes On Face After Consuming Sour Food Items?

Question: Hi

I am XXXX, Age 28,
I have serious allergy problem with sour foods. whenever i have any foods which contains sour taste, Immediately i will get itching on my body especially on face and face tuns with red rashes. I had this problem from past many years and I consulted many doctors but my problem is not resolved. So please suggest any treatment or tablets in order to get permanent solution for this problem.

I can understand your concern.
Best treatment of allergy is identification of allergen and if possible complete avoidance of it.
Since you are allergic to sour food, best treatment for you is to avoid sour food.
Combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are useful for symptomatic relief.
Long course (1 year) of these drugs may reduce allergy in some cases. But it is not 100% curative.
Newer drugs like omalizumab is now available. It is monoclonal antibody against IgE (immunoglobulin responsible for allergic reaction). But it is very costly and permanent improvement is still questionable.
Sub lingual immunotherapy (SLIT) and subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) are also available but again effectiveness and safety are issues.
So at present, best available treatment for allergy is identification of allergen, if possible complete avoidance of it and combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs.

Can u please suggest particular tablets or drug name which contains above medicine.

No major long term side effects of these drugs are seen. They are well tolerated by patients because it is once a day dose at night time after meals.
Usually, you need to take them for atleast 6 months. Than on symptomatic improvement, we can taper down them.
