What Causes Itchy Red Spots On Penis After Masturbation?

Question: Hi, my penis has a some red spots since September. It was a bit itchy and red. Sometimes, after masturbation, penis head was so red(but it will go away after couple hours or days). I visited doctor about these, and he gave me clotrimazole and betamethsone cream. I was using it for a month, and the red spots went off. However, It come back after I stop using the cream. Right now, the red spot was so annoying. (I did have unprotected oral sex in June)

I have noted your concerns.

1 It is normal for the penile skin to look more reddish after masturbation. The redness tends to subside in due course as already observed by you. It would settle without any medication.

2 It is likely that you might have overused betamethasone and its stoppage is causing withdrawal features. In such a case, I recommend to taper the quantity and frequency of application gradually so that one does not experience such discomfort as narrated by you.

Taking Fluconazole 150 as single dose has helped in clearing most patients of mine from fungal infection. Only one tablet is needed by most.

In the meantime, take care of good hygiene, avoid soaps, and friction so that skin gets an opportunity to heal undisturbed.I presume that you are non-diabetic. A confirmation would help.
