What Causes Itchy Skin On Left Forearm And Elbow?

An oral antihistamine
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thank you for using HCM,
From what you are describing, looks like the itchiness is localized, only in one area that is prone to contact with things that might have irritated the skin, and causing contact dermatitis.
-- If you can notice what makes it worse, or even better what causes it, then try to avoid.
-- Applying a cold moist compress for 30 minutes, three times a day, might help.
-- Triamcinolone cream, might help if it is red and irritated. Use it 1-2/day, in a thin layer.
-- If I was your caring doctor, to help the itchiness, using an oral antihistamine will me be my main recommendation today. Benadryl, Loratadine 10mg, cetirizine 10mg or other antihistamines you may find over the counter, may provide relief. Use them once/day. Take 20mg if still itchy.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarification. I will be happy to answer.
Take care,
Dr. Klarida
