Brief Answer:
It may be an infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM,
It seems that you may be having an infection. It may be bacterial but is more likely to be
fungal infection considering the itch.
The diagnosis can be made by examination of the fluid that is coming out under a microscope. A culture sensitivity test as well as KOH preparation for fungi will be helpful.
So please get this done.
Meanwhile, try to keep the nipple as dry as possible. Do not scratch it as it may worsen the infection. Clean it with an dilute antiseptic lotion twice a day and dry it immediately. Use
clotrimazole antifungal ointment twice daily. Use
neosporin powder once daily. Keep the area as dry as possible and open during night. Hot fomentation is also helpful to relieve the pain. Give a hot wash to your undergarments as heat kills organisms and will prevent re contamination.
If there is pain,
adderall will help. It is a coincidence that it worsened after adderall. It is the infection that grew and adderall does not control infection. So you may take it. Other
analgesic that may be used instead of adderall is etodolac 400 mg tablet once daily with milk.
It will take time to heal. Your doctor may prescribe you
oral antibiotics or antifungal drugs according to the type of infection if the results turn out to be positive.
If the discharge persists after treatment get a serum
prolactin done. This hormone leads to production of milk and may be increased in certain conditions. So just get it checked.
So do not worry.
It will go away. Just needs some treatment.
I am always here to help you if needed.
Feel free for any more queries.
