What Causes Lack Of Energy And Sexual Urge During Intercourse?
Loss of libido, workup required
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Loss of libido or sexual urge should be worked up. Functional causes should be ruled out. Please consult a local psychiatrist for a XXXXXXX mental state exam to look for associated anxiety and/or depression that may be contributing towards the loss of libido. Counseling sessions with a sex therapist will also be a good idea. CBC, Thyroid function tests, Liver function tests and testosterone levels should also be evaluated. Erectile dysfunction should be assessed and nutritional supplementation should be done e.g theragran ultra which is a multi vitamin with good response in patients with Erectile dysfunction and/or loss of libido. Tadalafil can be prescribed if there is E.D that doesn't improve with the above measures. It is a prescription drug and should be taken according to your doctor's advice. You should also try to identify drugs like beta blockers that are associated with loss of libido and erectile dysfunction and find alternatives for them with your doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I am sorry for your distress.
Low testosterone itself can be due to depression. The symptoms you described lead to a conclusion of indifferent behavior that shows lack of urgency to respond to a certain situation that would normally arouse the fight or flight reaction. This is also typical in depression. Replacing testosterone without working up and treating depression can lead to further agitation and mood swings. Let me know what your testosterone levels were when they were measured the last few times. In addition let me know what medication are you using currently.
