What Causes Lack Of Menstruation And Spotting?

irregular shedding , possibly progesterone deficiency
Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting HCM
If your pregnancy test is negative then the most common cause of irregular shedding of endometrium would be progesterone deficiency. It is advisable that you may undertake a serum progesterone test and also a transvaginal ultrasound to look for the thickness of the endometrium. If it is more than 10mm then a withdrawal bleed can be offered to you with progesterones to resume your menses properly.
This is sometimes seen in this age group and the hormonal status is also affected by the regular stress levels during the month which may cause irregularity in the cycle.
so please get an ultrasound and serum progesterone test done and you may follow up with reports.
