What Causes Left TMJ Joint Pain With A History Of Tooth Implant?

I'm XXXX 34 years
Having left tmj joint pain for the past 5days
Only during biting food in the left side or opening mouth widely to brush my teeth
Only in the left joint I feel pain it's doesn't radiate
I use to grind tooth(bruxism) from my childhood
Before 2years had tooth implant
But pain is it felt in tooth only in the joint
That too when I open my mouth or biting food
Can be T-M joint arthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that is restricted to only one T-M joint is likely to be due to arthritis. It can be related to tight jaw muscles, muscle spasm or a dental infection or impacted tooth.
All the causes need to be ruled out after a direct examination. Till then avoid opening your mouth too wide, do a hot compress in the area and take an oral muscle relaxant after getting it prescribed from your physician for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

X-ray is needed.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
It will need an X-ray, a direct examination by a dentist, orthopedician and an ENT specialist to find the cause.
