default
Posted on Tue, 5 Sep 2017
Question: Hi, I'm not sure if I'm having an epotic pregnancy or have a ruptured cyst while bleeding but not a normal kind of period. Came as scheduled. I'm experiencing left shoulder pain. And left pain near my ovaries. I've been having nausea for almost nine weeks now.

Brief Answer:
Pregnancy not likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

If your period started well on time and the pregnancy test is negative then pregnancy is ruled out. The pain in the shoulder is not likely to be related to the ovarian pain. The lower abdominal pain is common during periods and will subside with an over the counter anti spasmodic.

Nausea that you have can be related to gastritis. Do avoid any spicy foods and have omeprazole and see if it helps.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow-up queries that you have.

Wishing you good health.

Regards.
Dr. Rakhi Tayal.
