What Causes Left Sided Thigh Pain That Radiates To Lower Abdomen?

Question: I have pain that has been moving from right side of left thigh and is now moved up to lower abdomen. Could this be a clot that is slowing moving from femoral artery up towards heart and lungs ? Pain started yesterday after two days of more than usual physical activity. I am 65 year old female.
Brief Answer:
not artery but possible vein thrombosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This can be clot in artery since it would manifest with painful, pale, cold legs from knee below. You probably meant clot in femoral vein, which is called venous thrombosis and it may go with ascending pain in femoral area, but als there would be leg swelling and constant pain in thighs. It is not usual in vein thrombosis to feel such migrating pain. SO it is more likely to be neuromuscular pain due to muscle pulling in inguinal area or pinched nerve. I suggets to rest, take ibuprofenum 3x400 mg and apply cold compresses. if swelling occur, see a doctor and do doppler ultrasound. Wish you good health. Regards
